Vehicle Description
This factory-driveline 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird received a
professional frame-off rotisserie restoration. It is powered by a
matching-numbers 426/425hp V8 engine mated with a matching-numbers
A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission and A36 Performance Axle
Package with 3.55 gears. It is equipped with power steering and
power brakes with front discs, as well as the HEMI underpinnings
and fully detailed undercarriage. The exterior features a nose
cone, special hood with functional pins, fender-mounted simulated
air scoops, a unique rear-window installation that mandated the
vinyl top, and a towering rear spoiler with Road Runner Superbird
graphics. The exterior is finished in Alpine White paint with black
Plymouth body decals and rides on Rallye wheels with a set of
Goodyear Polyglas GT tires. The interior includes a Rallye
instrument cluster with a 150-mph speedometer and Tic-Toc-Tach,
3-speed wiper controls, Chrysler Solid State AM radio and a
column-mounted shifter. Along with a bench seat, the seats are
covered in black vinyl with silver accenting, and the full-size
spare is in the trunk. Documents include the original Broadcast
Sheet, original IBM punch card, the owner's manual, a known
ownership history accompanied by historic photos, a Wise Validation
Report completed in 2022 and two Chrysler Registry reports: one
completed prior to restoration and a second one completed after the
restoration. 31,046 miles (title reads exempt).
