Vehicle Description
This custom frame-off-restored 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster sport
coupe is powered by a rebuilt Chevrolet 350ci engine with Edelbrock
cylinder heads and intake, Holley Sniper carburetor, modified Cal
Custom valve covers and a modified Cadillac batwing air cleaner,
and exhales through a custom-made stainless exhaust. The engine is
paired with a rebuilt TH350 automatic transmission. The car is
riding on K-link suspension with bags in the rear and Mustang II
coilovers in the front and sits on U.S. Mags aluminum rims with
American Classic tires. Stopping power comes from front disc brakes
and rear drums. The exterior was chopped 3 inches in front and 5
inches in the back, and it has reshaped front fenders, reshaped and
molded rear fenders with skirts, radiused door corners, a modified
Chevrolet 1946 grille, a one-piece hood, 1952 Cadillac headlight
bezels, custom-made taillights in 1949 Ford bumper guards, a
smoothed firewall, custom-made rocker moldings and finned aluminum
sill plates, hidden trunk lid hinges, one-piece power door windows,
and a power trunk and doors. The interior features 1964 Thunderbird
seats, white leather upholstery with gold stitching, a 1961 Impala
steering wheel with a custom-made centerpiece, a shaved and
modified dash, a custom center console and a hidden audio system.
The white leather trunk features a custom-made fuel filler.
Achievements and awards include multiple shows in Scandinavia,
winner of the Fine Nine Award at the Darryl Starbird Show 2023, and
winner of Outstanding Engine, Outstanding Undercarriage,
Outstanding Display and the 2023 John D'Agostino Award of Elegance
Crystal Award at the Sacramento Autorama 2023.
