Vehicle Description
This custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is powered by a Tom McCumber
Race Shop-prepared 454ci 4-bolt main big-block Chevrolet engine. It
has a COMP Cams high-duration camshaft riding on Durabond cam
bearings, with ARP head and main studs, fabricated windage tray and
valley screens with a Moroso pro billet oil pump, 8-quart oil pan
and custom electric engine pre-oiler. The valve train has COMP Cams
roller rockers and springs with titanium retainers. The engine is
equipped with a Barry Grant 1000cc Demon double-pumper carburetor,
Hooker 2.125-inch custom Cerakote headers leading into a 3.5-inch
Cerakote exhaust with Dynomax mufflers and resonators. This
powerhouse is backed by an M22 Muncie Rock Crusher transmission
with McLeod twin-disc soft-clutch discs with a Hurst shifter. It
rides on 1350 forged gear steel U-joints, balanced driveshaft with
safety hoop and all-new urethane suspension bushings. The custom
interior features full race gauges, while the exterior has red
paint with black racing stripes and a black vinyl top with a
functional cowl hood. The car sits on custom chrome wheels and new
tires.
