Vehicle Description
This matching-numbers 1969 Dodge Super Bee is powered by a
big-block 383ci 4-barrel engine and an A727 automatic HD
TorqueFlite transmission. The engine and transmission have matching
numbers to the VIN and Fender Tag, and the differential is the
correct one, factory-installed to this car. The motivation behind
this build was to transform it from being part of a collection of
"Trailer Queens" into a professionally restored Mopar that could
also be a daily driver. This Super Bee has recently been
road-tested at 90+ mph. The pre-auction preparation on this car -
all completed by reputable classic car shops - included engine
oil/filter change; transmission opened, cleaned and inspected;
replaced oil, filter and pan gasket; transmission confirmed to be
factory original; differential was opened, cleaned and inspected;
all bearings were replaced; and differential confirmed to be
exactly as installed at the factory (stamped casing confirms this
as 8.75-inch 3.23 gear ratio). Additionally, the brakes were
inspected and adjusted, Classic Car Body Shop installed new door
hinges and door strikers, door hinges were painted to match the
body color and panel gaps were also tweaked. It has been driven
16,930 miles since the restoration.
