Stock Number: 1934 - 1996 Pontiac Trans AM SLP Comp T/A - Low miles and very rare, #77 of 200. There are only 16,127 miles since new on this Comp T/A and it is in outstanding condition! The Comp T/A is a pretty cool car. They only came in Bright Silver Metallic, because they were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the BF Goodrich Comp Companies Comp T/A tire. So now you understand the car's special name and color. They contracted with SLP (Street Legal Performance) to build these unique and rarely seen Trans AM's. There was a variety of performance and cosmetic options that would allow you to customize your Comp T/A to your personal tastes. While there was an initial plan to build 200 units, they only built 164 over a 3 year span. So it turns out that this is really 1 of only 164 total Comp T/A's built and 1 of only 45 built in 1996. This example started out as a Hi-Option Trans am and is #77 of 200 as shown on the center console plaque. It was then treated to the SLP Comp T/A upgrades to create the Pontiac you see here. Everything works on this car as you would expect on such a low mile example. The Lights, Turn Signals, Cruise Control, Air Conditioning are all working perfectly. There have been a few mild updates to the car such as a Sophn Engineering Torque Arm, GM Performance Rocker Arm Kit with More Engineering Valve Covers and Some Hotchkis Suspension upgrades. It also has the very rare TOTL (Two On The Left) Exhaust System that contributes to the uniqueness of this Historical Trans AM. There is a fair amount of documentation including a copy of the MSO, the original Window Sticker, the factory invoice, the SLP Comp T/A documents and more.
