Lot # 175- 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car
This Corvette is represented as being a Special Commemorative
Limited Edition Indianapolis Pace Car that was produced by
Chevrolet in celebration of the 62nd running of the Indianapolis
500 in May of 1978. Reportedly 6,502 ( 1 for each Chevy Dealer at
that time) were produced and all had an exclusive VIN. This example
has been verified by that VIN. They had very limited option
choices, as they all basically came equipped fully equipped as a
standard package and with an exclusive Black over Silver Two-Tone
Paint Scheme with Gray Interior. This particular one was optioned
with an Automatic Transmission and the very rare Cloth Seat
Package. An upgraded Entertainment System has been added.
The seller says that this Vette has only 71,000 original miles on
it, but will be sold mileage exempt per state laws. He also says
that it runs, drives and performs as expected, and that all
exterior and interior lighting function as they should. The 78
Corvette Pace Car is easily one of most recognized cars in the
world and is appreciating on a daily basis. Here is a great
