Vehicle Description
STK 3721 1940 Ford Standard Coupe
This 1940 Ford Standard Coupe is a well-planned and meticulously
built street rod. The recent restoration was conscientiously
performed and the stunning coupe has been carefully maintained ever
since - look at the photos. The solid all steel body was
beautifully refinished in 2-stage 'Ford Black'. All chrome is
excellent and Weld Drag Lite alloy wheels (15x4f/15x14r) mount
Nexen / Mickey Thompson performance radial tires that are in very
good condition. The inviting black cloth interior was well designed
with comfortable bucket seats and a stunning dash that holds a full
complement of AutoMeter gauges including a Sport Comp tach and a
premium JVC AM/FM/CD audio system. The custom wheel rests on a tilt
column assembly and manual windows are tinted.
Under the hood, horsepower is furnished by a race prepped 'Dart
Little M' 383ci cast iron small-block. The blueprinted motor
incorporates Iron Eagle Dart cast-iron heads, performance cam,
Edelbrock Victor Ram intake and dual 750cfm double-pumper Holley
carburetors. Cooling is provided by a heavy-duty radiator
w/electric fan and the small-block sounds strong through tube
headers and a shorty exhaust setup. A GM 350 Turbohydramatic
transmission w/B&M shifter transfers torque to a Ford Moser 9"
positraction differential w/aluminum center section and 3.25:1
gearing. The chassis is equipped with manual steering and manual
disc/drum brakes. This is a classic street rod that can be driven
to a car show and carry home the trophy. Any one of us would be
proud to own this handsome Blue Oval machine. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
