Vehicle Description
1959 Dodge Custom Royal Sedan, Low Original 58k Miles. 361ci V8
still sporting original Carter 4bbl AFB carburetor Push Button
Automatic Transmission Gorgeous Interior will all the original
decor and stainless. We acquired this Dodge among many others as a
collection purchase belonging to the late owner of an Upstate New
York Dodge Dealership. It seems the Dodge was a 2 owner
Pennsylvania car when acquired back in 1996 with 58,002 miles, with
only a couple hundred miles logged over the past 27 years. Needless
to say the Dodge has had its full share of sleep. When we saw it
for the first time, we immediately fell in love with the swooping
eye-brow like upper fender shape and trim until we looked at the
back and that was it for us... The Booster-shaped taillight fins
are incredible and match its dramatic styling. The body panels are
all metal and original to the car and under a bit of dust we could
see that the paint and trim finish were truly in great condition.
Rear quarter skirts can be easily attached or removed in seconds as
they are not bent and also in excellent condition. Underhood was
and still is very stock; We pured some gas in the 'ol Carter
Carburetor, replaced the battery, checked oil level and whammo!
This sleeping beauty fired right up and held idle. We brought her
home and went through it for safety inspection among oil and filter
changes, brakes, lower radiator hose, and a few minor doodads. We
rubbed and polished the exterior and noticed that at one point (not
sure excatly when) The hood, roof, and trunk lid were re-painted at
some point. Most likely due to fade, scratches and chips, or
discoloration.. This Royal Lancer has the 361ci V8 producing 305 HP
straight from the factory. Seating upholstery is among the best we
have seen even in many newer vehicles, the seats are in great
condition and the Black-Gold Metallic Speckled Tuxedo Fabric goes
in style with the Royal's Motif. All the gauges are clear and
working as they did back when the Dodge was parked. The wide white
wall tires by Firestone are of course old and with flat spots, we
advise having them replaced if so requested we will per new owner's
wish with another set of wide whites. Underside you would notice
that this Mopar is solid, very dry, and other than superficial
browning, indicative and typical of its age, factory undercoating,
and storage in a dry facility. Also notice the exhaust is still
single exit and via original manifolds. This Big Dodge comes with
the original build sheet and owner's manual. We sell and ship
worldwide. Dome Lamp, Tinted Glass, Armrests - Dual Front, Power
