This 1978 Jeep Wagoneer is a nice, clean, old original Jeep
Wagoneer That spent its life in Arizona. The previous owner had
this Jeep for the last 20 years and used it sparingly to cruise
around in and some desert rides too. It is just a real cool,
original Jeep Wagoneer. We believe the mileage to be original as he
purchased it with 52k on it and it now has 99k. The body is super
clean and it was repainted under his ownership around 12 years ago
or so. The original color was a lighter tan than what you see on
the Jeep currently. The paint still looks nice and it shines up
nice too. All of the original chrome and trim is still in really
nice original condition. The underside is also very very clean and
we found no rust issues with this Jeep. The Jeep was always stored
inside so it was kept in great condition.
The interior is all original with the exception of the headliner
which was replaced. The interior is still in great condition for
the originality and the age. It does obviously have some minor wear
and tear because it is original. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work
and it does have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. The horn works,
windshield wipers work, and the heat works. This Jeep is an AC
vehicle and the AC is complete but it is not blowing cold.
Mechanically this Jeep is great!! It starts easy and runs and
drives great. The engine is the original 5.9L 360 V8 that runs
strong and smooth with no issues or red flags that we could find.
It recently had a tune-up and new radiator installed according to
the last owner. The transmission is the Turbo 400 Automatic that
shifts nice. The last owner said this was rebuilt around 5,000
miles ago but we did not get a receipt. It is mated to the
Quadratec transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The rear
axle is a Dana 44 with 3.31 gears and the front axle is also a Dana
44 with 3.31 gears. This is all sitting on some cool vintage
aluminum wheels with brand new Goodyear Wrangler Trail Runner
tires.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
