104,173 kilometers In 1990, Toyota made the decision to split off
the smaller Light Duty variation of the already popular Land
Cruiser and create a new model. Thus, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
entered the market. In order to better suit the needs of a larger
audience, this sport utility vehicle was offered in either a 3 door
or a 5 door configuration, with the latter providing seating for up
to 8 with the addition of the third row. Though a highly capable
all-wheel drive, off-road vehicle, the Land Cruiser Prado was
marketed as a daily driver for on-road use. It was originally
powered by only an Inline 4-cylinder diesel engine, but the second
generation brought with it the choice of a gasoline powered I4 or
V6 engine in the year 1996. Other updates included improved
handling, updated design on the dashboard, and changes to
suspension, brakes, and trim. As of 2023, the Prado remained a
popular choice among sport utility buyers around the world, albeit
under different names than that which it was originally marketed
as. Third party pre-purchase inspections are welcomed and
encouraged. All vehicles sold by Duncan come with a clean U.S.
