A third-party inspection and photos detail the excellent overall condition of the vehicle. The paint shows well for its age and has a scuff on the right quarter panel and light scratches on the left fender and quarter panel. The CarFax report notes minor front-end damage in 2023 and photos attest to the subsequent repair. The red interior is found in excellent condition as would be expected with just 36K miles. The car has been routinely dealer serviced, and mechanically, a road test confirmed all features of the vehicle, including the retractable hardtop function as they were designed. The belts, hoses, and battery have been replaced and complete service records are included in the sale. Additionally, the vehicle comes with its original sets of keys, owner’s manual, and NM edition car cover.

About the model
The second generation Lexus SC was introduced for the 2001 model year. Known as the Z40, the second-generation SC was available only in one variant, the SC430. The SC 430 was offered as a folding hardtop convertible powered by Toyota's 3UZ-FE engine. This 4.3L naturally aspirated V8 generated 288hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. This power was initially sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission, but from the 1996 model year, a 6-speed automatic was used. The Lexus SC430 was in production until 2010 when the model was discontinued.
