Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to share with you today this very rare
and insanely cool 1991 Acura NSX with only 6,128 ACTUAL MILES!
These miles are backed up by a clean Carfax and an actual miles
title, not to mention the impeccable condition of the car itself.
This was the first model year for the NSX and it was the pinnacle
of Honda's engineering and design prowess at the time. This is the
world's first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminum body!
This NSX comes to us dressed in its original coat of Berlina Black
paint that still looks slick and glossy. The body styling is still
as breath-taking today as it was back in '91, with a low-slung
front nose, forward cockpit, elongated rear window that covers the
mid-engine powerplant, and a full trunk topped with an integrated
spoiler. Up front, you'll find flip-up headlights, a small Acura
logo badge on the nose-cone, and a small front trunk ("frunk") that
offers no storage but is home to a compact spare tire, radiator,
and headlight mechanicals. The sides of the NSX feature color-keyed
side mirrors, unique door handles, discreet "NSX" badges on the
doors, and deep air vents just behind the doors to help the engine
breathe. At the rear are dual chrome exhaust tips, a thin LED third
brake light that runs the width of the aforementioned spoiler, and
a working power antenna. This incredible machine rolls down the
road on factory-forged aluminum alloy 5-spoke wheels wrapped in
Yokohama tires. When you lift the curved rear window you'll see
that there is actually a flat window that separates the cockpit
from this area - and with good reason, because underneath a lift-up
cover is the engine bay! The engine bay is home to an all-aluminum
3.0 liter DOHC V-6 which features Honda's VTEC system (variable
valve timing and lift electronic control). The entire engine and
its' surroundings are immaculately clean and like-new. The 252hp
V-6 is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission that puts down the
power via a limited-slip rear differential with traction control.
This drivetrain, combined with a lightweight car, a mid-engine
layout, and a double wishbone suspension is a driver's dream! When
you open the driver's door you're greeted by a stunning black
leather interior with a cockpit feel to it. The door panels are a
stylish mixture of leather and vinyl and the driver's door has
controls for power windows, locks, and mirrors. The
power-adjustable leather bucket seats are in excellent condition
and they're incredibly comfortable. Between the seats is a center
console that follows a straight angular rise up to the dash and
actually seems to "become" the dash - a very cool design that adds
to the cockpit feel of the interior. On the console/dash is an
armrest/storage box, a leather-wrapped shifter for the 4-speed
automatic, an incredible AM/FM/Cassette sound system by Bose with a
remote 6-disc CD changer, and an automatic climate control system
that offers cold AC and hot heat on demand. Ahead of the driver is
a leather-wrapped steering wheel with airbag and cruise controls
that's mounted to a tilt and telescopic column. The stock gauges
all work as they should and there is a tachometer with a 7,500rpm
redline and a 180mph speedometer. The black carpet is in flawless
condition and is kept that way with carpeted factory floormats with
red "NSX" stitching that really pops in the all-black interior.
Overhead are map lights and a vinyl headliner. Ahead of the
passenger in the glovebox are the original "hang tags" with
instructions for the cruise control and the shift lock release - a
very cool little extra. Speaking of "extras", wait until you see
what's in the trunk! There is a window sticker (showing an original
price of $65,600), a press release folder with slide photos of a
prototype model as well as 8X10 glossy photos, a music system
demonstrational package (unopened), the original owners manual, and
a hardbound book "NSX Technical Information and Development
History" (also unopened). There is also an original valet key and
an invoice from 2016 for a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner,
and idle pulley - a rather costly but necessary maintenance item
for these cars that has already been done for you! The car also had
a service check-up at a local Acura dealership that included a new
battery right before it came to us. Also in the trunk is the 6-disc
CD changer and under the floor panel is the factory jack and air
pump. These NSX's are quite rare and highly coveted by collectors
these days and this particular car is an exceptional low-mileage
example! In fact, we've been unable to find another black automatic
91 NSX currently on the market with such low miles - this car is
certainly a unicorn! Give us a call today and be the lucky one who
gets to put in their garage!
