For Sale: 1940 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle in Cadillac, Michigan
1940 Harley Davidson Knucklehead. I bought this from an estate. Was
told that it is an EL motor 61 cubic inches. Has morris magneto
original style frame with the side car tabs and tool box mount.
Along with original style star hub front wheel and springer front
end , with springer headlight and mirror. Rear wheel and mechanical
rear brake are also original style. I added the front fork and
wheel assembly. Along with the bars and grips and handlebar risers.
Also added the peanut peanut style tank and rolled rear fender.
Which were heavily silver metalflaked with the old school lace and
dot paint job, along with the old school pinstriping. Also added
was an s and s style carb with accelerator pump and old school air
cleaner and grips. I also replaced all of the oil and fuel lines
and throttle cables. In addition to the shotgun slash cut drag
pipes and brass knuckle footings and coffin shift and brake pegs.
Has 1940 Harley Davidson EL title with matching vin on the left
side case. I am not a knucklehead expert and make no claims to what
is original and what is aftermarket. I received little info on the
bike when I purchased it. Has good compression and trans shifts
thru the gears as it should. Ran well prior to installing the
magneto. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our
