  • 2014-2016 Major servicing as needed (see pics of docs)( approx. 114k miles)

Paint

  • Paint finish was very expertly performed, very smooth, very shiny

  • Color Matches well all around

  • Do not see any imperfections in the paint application itself, no obvious scratches

  • Very professionally completed and polished so we don’t see orange peal along edges

  • Couple of nicks in front from normal road wear but very minimum showing, owner must have been careful to not follow others to close. Also a nick by left door and a brush touch up by RR snap (see pics)

Body

  • The body is impressively correct and straight, actually mostly laser straight (see all pics)

  • Fits and gaps around hood, trunk, doors, and other painted body panels all seem even and appropriately aligned (see pics)(including those of individual panels)

  • Note- we have inspected body closely over a couple of days in overcast, bright sun, and LED lighting.

Magnetic paint gauge

  • We took a couple random approx. readings on each steel painted panel of car. The hood and trunk surrounding panels are typically of a non steel material so we could not obtain readings

  • Readings were typical of what we often see on expertly performed, very straight, show paint quality restorations with material readings of 15 mils and above

  • Upper side and top panels seemed to have very similar magnetic pull with lower rockers and fenders reading slightly lighter pull

Interior

  • With the bright lighting we had lots of reflection and a blueish cast on the seating pictures and so the pictures with shading shows the true coloring of seat materials and other interior details

  • Interior fabrics, materials, seat coverings, door panels, are all in nice condition and don’t show a lot of exposure to the outside (see pics)

  • Addition front and rear speakers were installed for improved sound with upgraded CD player

  • Rear storage fold down will not operate with added rear speakers in place

  • Front seat belts are installed (see pics)

  • Steering wheel covering makes for comfortable usage and has minimum wear

  • No headliner or sun visors FYI / Has Austin Healey floor mats for a finished look

  • There are a few nicks in the backs of the drivers and passenger seat (see pics)

Engine Bay

  • Generally appears to be mostly as designed new with periodic detailing and maintenance items as needed

  • Engine Rebuilt Professionally- See documents (somewhere after 84k per earlier docs)

  • Cowl Tags in place- See pics

  • Same Engine purchased with in 1970 (no Engine tag)

Trunk

  • Finished with proper shaped flooring and back panels for a nice appearance (see pics)

  • Contains battery box cover along with original style cut off switch

  • Owner drove locally and preferred the extra room afforded without carrying a spare tire and tools(no longer have possession of)

Tires and Wheels

  • Tires are Michelin X Red Stripe Tube Type Radials / Made in France

  • 185 X 15 size of all 4 tires

  • DOT (see pics)

  • Tires don’t appear to have cracking or damage to outside walls (see pics)

  • LR tire has a very light scuff on outside

  • Tread Depth approx 6/32 on all 4 (on car)

  • Wheels are very reflective and we don’t see any noticeable Corrosion / spinners as typical show slightly more wear / wheels themselves appear like that of a couple year old vehicle

  • Between spokes could be even further detailed for competitive showing

Chassis

  • Please see pictures as the best way to properly understand condition

  • We have driveway pics and rack shots of underside (see pics on website)

  • Owner has typically only driven car on nice dry days with little exception

  • Frame itself seems solid without rust perforation

  • The bottom side has not been covered with any aftermarket rust proofing substance and so you can inspect it in it’s natural state mostly

  • Floors, rockers, and supports have been professionally restored with metal and panels with a material covering (see bills). We do not see any current rust perforation (see pics & documents)

  • some newer components in front suspension and brake lining

  • Slight seepage engine, trans, rear end, rear shocks. Owner indicated you do see an occasional drip of oil (see pics)

Mechanical

  • Head lights operate

  • High and Low beam setting operating

  • Parking lights operate

  • Windshield wipers operate

  • Turn signals operate front & back / left & right

  • Tail lights operate

  • Brake lights operate

  • Window cranks operate on both sides

  • fuel gauge operates per owner

  • Oil pressure operates / registering about 50lbs idling cold

  • Water Temp gauge operates

  • Speedometer, odometer, & tachometer operate

  • Horn operates

  • Choke operates

  • Fan motor operates

  • Temp and defrost levers seem OK / could use lube

  • CD player (only) operates

Misc

  • In the pictures you will find included with the sale, 4 quarts of the oil used, 2 oil filters, Zenith carb oil(couple drops once in a while), Moss parts catalog, workshop manual, drivers hand book, and a few extra parts

Test Drive

  • Engine seems to start quickly with slight choking required when engine is cold. When warmed up, engine fires quickly with no choke. As typical choke requires a little adjustment if driving when still cold

  • Chad & owner went for about a 15 mile ride. Chad drove back about the last 4 miles

  • Driving is very smooth, fairly quiet and car feels solid.

  • Braking is smooth and stops straight without notice of pulling or pulsation

  • Steering tracks straight on a level road (not pulling) and operates smoothly on a full left to right turning

  • Clutch operates smoothly and seems to engage at correct pedal position with no chatter

  • Transmission seems to shifts well into and out of each of 4 forward gears and reverse. 1st gear is not synchronized with these cars.

  • With the 6 cylinder torque and smooth operating clutch, it makes starting off from a stop and driving very user friendly

  • Owner states that engine, clutch, trans, rear end, brakes, or otherwise drive train seems to be working as was designed to

  • heater and defrost cables need lubed and soft top front hold downs need adjusted slightly
