1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 427
Car History
The Corvette was always America's only true sports car and the
restored 1966 Corvette 427 Convertible, like the one we have here
at Adventure Classics, is a perfect example.
It is painted in the Milano Maroon on the Trim Tag, is date code
correct and the owner believes could be the original numbers
matching 427 engine, per the engine casting code of #3855961 on it
(the front pad has been decked and milled with no numbers on it
back when it was rebuilt) with a 4-speed transmission, black
interior, a black convertible top, knock-off wire wheels, and
sidepipes. What more do you need?

Interior
Our Sting Ray offers a completely luxurious driving environment
with the interior featuring black trim on the twin bucket seats,
that have a factory bolster-like design for more seating comfort
and better lateral support, black carpet and matching door panels,
floor mats, dual sun visors, black factory seatbelts, chrome
4-speed shifter with the white shifter ball, a great factory dash
with all the right factory gauges, electrical clock, radio and vent
controls, matched speedometer and tachometer, electrical fuel gauge
with a head-light switch, cigarette lighter, head-lamp retractor
switch, hood release, great factory Corvette polished and wood
steering wheel, and four-position ignition switch that complete the
instrument panel.
Exterior
The 988 Milano Maroon paint job on our 1966 Sting Ray is beautiful
as it floes over the big block hood and louvers behind the front
wheels that help increase air flow through the engine compartment,
giving it both an aggressive and sophisticated look.
All the trim, 427 Cross Flag emblems, chrome bumpers, taillights,
door handles, the flip-up gas cap, and the black convertible top is
in great condition as is the Knock Off aluminum wheels with the
knock-off type hubs and Gold Line sidewall tires which recreate the
original look especially with the side pipes to give it an
intimidating sound too!
