Vehicle Description
Already in its 4th generation since 1955, The Ford Thunderbird was
changing with the times and what they thought the consumer wanted.
It definitely paid off, as it outsold the Corvette in 1966 with its
new "Formal" or squared off look. In fact, the new and one year
only Town Hardtop was a hit, a formal two-door coupe if you will
with seating for four in what I think are some of the coolest
interiors ever designed. These cars also packed a punch with a 390
Cubic inch V8 and a 4-barrel carburetor putting out 315HP that
could propel this heavy car to 0-60 in 8 seconds and a top speed of
130 miles per hour! This car appears to be largely original with
the exception of the MSD ignition and front sway bar that has been
added. The interior appears to be all original and in very good
condition, there is original paint on the car with some touch ups
or re-spray in spots but done very well. Mechanically this Bird is
dialed in. Starts, runs and drives down road very well and is ready
to be enjoyed. Its smooth, rattle free and has no funky smells.
This is a lot of car for the money and would make someone a great
cruiser.
