The Neue Klasse rebirth of BMW in the 1960s led BMW into one of their most creative, iconic, and successful eras. Thanks to the 2000C and CS models, the E9 chassis was born, and began life as 2800CS in 1968. This 1972 BMW 3.0CS is finished in Fjord Metallic over tan leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter M30 inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 14″ alloy wheels, a Nardi steering wheel, air conditioning, and a Becker stereo. Books worth of invoices, receipts, and documentation from 1983 to today accompany this E9. Dual Weber 32/36 carburetors were installed in 2023, at which time the alternator was rebuilt and the battery and ignition components were replaced.
