This 1974 Ford F100 Stepside Short Box 4x4 Pickup is a really cool
and fairly rare truck that spent its life in California. This is a
very solid and very clean truck that can be used just as it is a
clean cool driver. This truck has a lot of cool upgrades and the
last owner made sure this was always a reliable truck that was
ready to go for him. Great looking truck that runs and drives
really nice!! The body on this F100 is clean and solid and really
straight. The metal appears to be all original and this truck was
originally Wimbledon White but was repainted sometime in the past
the Light Blue color you see. The paint is still in nice condition
and looks great! The underside of this truck is rock solid and we
found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is pretty basic and in nice shape. The seat has been
recovered and it has newer carpet. The rest of the interior looks
original and has held up really nice. The headlights, taillights,
brake lights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all
work. The wipers and heat are working but the horn is not working.
Overall it is just a nice original interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great!
When this truck was new it came with the 360 V8, but that engine
was replaced around 4 years ago with an early 70's 460 V8 that was
mildly built. It runs strong with no issues or red flags that we
could find. The last owner stated there are around 7-8,000 miles on
the engine after it was redone. It has a mild cam,Holley 4 Barrel
Carb, dual Flowmaster Exhaust. They also replaced the starter,
alternator, water pump, and radiator when it was redone. The engine
runs really strong and starts easily. The transmission is the C6
Automatic that shifts nice. It is mated to the np205 transfer case
and the 4WD works like it should. The rear axle is a Ford 9" with
3.50 gears and the front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.50 gears. This
truck has power steering and power front disc brakes. It also has a
nice 4 Inch lift kit that was done right with new springs, front
radius arm drop brackets, and adjustable track bar. They added new
body bushings and a new driveshaft at that time. This is all
sitting on some Vintage Style aluminum wheels with 35 inch BFG Mud
Terrain tires.
