Vehicle Description
1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 SOUTHERN CAR! 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION
This is one sharply dressed 1969 Chevelle SS in its rare factory
color, Burnished Brown code 61. It really gives it that WOW! factor
up against the Parchment interior and the white SS stripes running
down both sides!! The body is clean and straight. Looking down both
sides it is straight, no rust or damage, and the panels fit square
and flush. The paint has a smooth and very glossy finish. The door
jambs are glossy and the bottom of the doors are clean. The weather
stripping and window seals have been replaced. The chrome and trim
are in very good condition. It sits on a set of 15 inch American
Racing Torque Thrust D wheels with new BFG T/A radial tires. The
beautiful Parchment bucket seat interior looks amazing against the
Burnished Brown exterior. It sports factory bucket seats and

have been re-upholstered including new seat foam, front and rear
seat belts. It also has newer door panels, carpet and headliner.

Looking forward to the dash, it is very nice. It has the optional
factory tach and gauges and a clock which all function properly!
The lenses are clear, the dash pad is nice, no cracks. It has the
optional 3 spoke Sure Grip steering wheel and a retro AM/FM radio.
The engine compartment is correct and nicely detailed with its
completely rebuilt and period-correct 396 ci engine bearing casting
number 3969854. Some features include: Holley Sniper fuel injection
system, factory aluminum Winters intake manifold with a set of
square port aluminum heads, MSD electronic ignition, factory
correct chrome valve covers and air cleaner, correct hoses and
tower clamps, a set of ceramic coated long tube headers, new
cadmium plated brake booster with new master cylinder and correct
R59 battery topper. It also has power steering and power front disc
brakes. The engine compartment has a nice black satin finish. The
undercarriage is just as impressive. The front end has been
completely rebuilt. The springs, shocks, tie rods and ball joints
have been replaced. Looking up at the motor, it is clean as well as
the M20 Muncie 4-speed transmission. The floors are all clean
metal. It has a nice 2.5" stainless Steelx pipe dual exhaust system
that runs all the way out the back with the correct exhaust tips.
Power to the rear is a 12-bolt 3:42 posi with F40 suspension. The
E-brake assembly is hooked up and working. It also has a newer gas
tank and straps. This undercarriage is very nicely detailed!! The
trunk is all clean metal. It is complete with trunk mat, spare
tire, jacking assembly and lug wrench. This Chevelle SS 396 has
great curb appeal and is very impressive to drive as well!!
