Muscle car might not be the first thought when you hear about a
1968 Ford Galaxie 500, but this car might just change that!
Powered by a built 390 CID V8 with 428 heads, aluminum intake, dual
4-barrel carburetors, MSD 6AL box, headers, and a 4 row aluminum
radiator with electric fans. This baby sounds mean and can really
get after it! That powerhouse is backed up by a C6 automatic
transmission that shifts through a floor mounted B&M
shifter.
4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes bring it to a stop in a hurry, and new
shocks and springs keep the tires on the ground. Magnum 500 style
wheels look fantastic and are wrapped in radial tires. The hood has
a Mustang hood scoop and louvers to release the heat from the
engine compartment. Pair that with a rear spoiler, and this Galaxie
is like no other!
The interior has black racing style bucket seats, a stock back
seat, a roll bar, harnesses, and an engine control panel with
switches for the ignition, the electric fuel pump, and the electric
fan. It is comfortable and looks fantastic with red carpet, door
panels, and dash.
This is a cool car that can be driven and enjoyed, taken to shows
and cruises, or hit the track on open drag night! It is a lot of
car for not a lot of money and will surely set you apart wherever
you take it.
