Vehicle Description
STK 3613 1942 Ford Pro Street
There were not many Fords built in 1942 as assembly plants were
being converted to produce equipment for the military. That said,
no factory ever produced a Ford coupe like this one. Our absolutely
stunning all-steel 1942 Ford Street Rod is a masterpiece. The Ford
received a full restoration that incorporated classic
customization, a tasteful 'top-chop' and a broad range of
mechanical enhancements - all meticulously carried out. The end
result is truly stunning. The coupe body was refinished in a
virtually flawless coat of Lime Green Metallic w/hand-painted
accents. All handles and trim have been shaved and electric door
'poppers' are managed by two separate systems. Rear taillights are
'frenched' and all chrome and stainless is outstanding. Finally,
the exterior is accented with 18" Budnik alloys wheels that mount
performance radials. The superb interior is pure craftsmanship.
Smart black Leather/Suede upholstery is complimented by a stylish
custom dash/console that incorporates a full package of Autometer
digital gauges. Comfortable bucket seats, power tinted windows and
tilt-wheel complete the interior. Sounds are furnished by a premium
Alpine AM/FM/CD sound system and the fully upholstered trunk has a
power release.
A beautifully detailed engine compartment houses a built 383ci
Chevy small-block that is a powerhouse. The 'Mighty Mouse' is built
around a Dart engine block w/Dart heads and fitted with an 8-71
blower that mounts dual Edelbrock 725cfm carbs with a 'Shotgun'
scoop. It houses a hydraulic roller-cam that is matched to the
engine specs and fuel is furnished by an electric pump. Fire comes
from an MSD ignition system and exhaust is routed through tube
headers to a 3" Flowmaster system w/cutouts. An aluminum radiator
w/electric fans handles cooling and an Optima battery furnishes
juice. This engine is built to run on pump gas and it sounds
amazing. The 700R 4-speed automatic trans w/B&M shifter
transfers torque to a nodular Ford 9" posi-traction differential
with 4:11:1 gears. A virtually spotless chassis mounts a Mustang II
front suspension with polished A-arms and power rack/pinion
steering. The 4-link rear suspension is fitted with QA-1 adjustable
coil-over shocks, ladder bars and tubbed wheel wells. Stopping
power is provided by a 4-wheel disc brakes w/power-assist. This
handsome '42 Ford street rod is ready for its new home - your Blue
