Vehicle Description
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Convertible Why This Car Is Special
We have a super rare and correct restored 1970 Chevrolet SS 454 LS5
Convertible here at Skyway Classics with a real #512 block 454
cubic inch monster big block engine, 4-speed manual transmission,
12-bolt read end, white convertible top and interior, red paint,
and air conditioning! It is not often that you will find a 1970
Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS5 454 convertible with those options and a
white bucket seat interior that has a lot of originality too and
looks as it did when it was new. Chevelle's are immensely popular
cars and none are so much highly sought after as the 1970 model
packing that big block 454 LS5 engine. Recent documentation now
confirms that fewer LS5 cars were produced than LS6 cars in 1970
and the LS5 Chevelle is actually rarer than the LS6 Chevelle. Of
those LS5 cars, only 91 of them were fitted in convertibles with
only 50 or so being 4-speeds, let alone with factory air
conditioning or this one being red with white interior and top!
