Vehicle Description
1965 Chevy C10 Long Bed (LWB) pick up truck. Recently completed,
Truck is from Arkansas. Body was removed from the frame,
sandblasted, and C notched in the rear. All control arms and
suspension components were removed, coated, and serviced with new
style polyurethane bushings. A 4 corner air ride setup with manual
valves, 5 gallon air tank, and Viair compressor was installed under
the bed. The brakes were updated to a modern power disk/drum setup
and have drop spindles in the front. A new 355cc small block with a
new 700R4 transmission (4 Speed Automatic) was placed in the frame
with a custom 2 piece driveshaft to make it a completely new truck
from the body down. Newer style rally wheels were repainted and
wrapped in 245/60/16 Cooper Cobra Tires to complete the look of the
chassis. Body was then reinstalled with all new bushings and
hardware throughout. The inner and outer rockers, parts of the
floor and fender bottoms were then repaired and repainted to match
the 50+ year old patina. The inside of the cab features sound
deadening underneath brand new carpet, along with a recovered seat.
New door seals, door sills, vent and window seals/felt, along with
the window and lock mechanisms were completely rebuilt so that the
doors function with ease. The cab features a AireJax manual air
valve, Dakota Digital gauges and sending units, and a switch panel
for your all the trucks necessary functions, including a Line Lock.
A new Pioneer radio and 3 way speakers finishes off the cab and
hooks up to any bluetooth device with ease. A column from a 68
truck was used, with new turn signal controls and a custom painted
steering wheel (Roth Rattsberry). The floor in the bed is stained
in light cherry with the original wheel tubs and bed strips painted
white. The underside is coated for protection against water and
corrosion and every single piece of hardware was replaced. To
complete the rear of the truck a roll pan was installed and paint
matched to the patina of the truck.
