Lot #180-1960 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe-UNRESTORED ORIGINAL! Car
purchased in Mid-Tennessee in 1960 for one purpose: Drag Racing!
New owner installed exhaust cutouts and went drag racing. He was a
regular trophy winner and a photo from 1960 of some of those
trophies is included with the purchase. Car has always been garaged
and is in excellent condition with only 63K miles, although title
is "exempt". Only accessories ordered were for performance and that
includes the 348 Tri-power V-8 and a 4-speed transmission. AM radio
and rear-mounted antenna were optioned and it is still operational.
Car still sports its original Ermine White paint and it is in good,
but not excellent, condition. Beautiful interior is all original
including the carpet. One of the recent collectors had the seats,
door panels, and carpet edges covered in clear plastic to protect
the original upholstery. Car has never been exposed to harsh
winters and that is evidenced by the original red oxide primer
still showing on the non-undercoated floors. Car has all of the
original glass including the windshield and retains all of the
original headlight bulbs. This is a rare opportunity to get an
unrestored example of Chevy's early muscle cars... Museum
quality.
