Vehicle Description
As far as looks go, the 1st-generation Ford Mustang is one of the
most attractive cars ever built. Few cars built can hope to ever
measure up to its success, and upon looking at this highly-original
1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, it's easy to see why. Unique,
correct survivor cars are very hard to come by, and when they
eventually do cross your path, it becomes pretty clear just how
special they really are. That's especially true for this '66
Mustang Convertible, clocking in with only 57k original miles on
the odometer. Powered by a 289 C.I. V8 breathing through a 2-barrel
carburetor, this '66 Mustang makes for one fantastic cruiser.
Torque from that V8 gets to the pavement through the use of a
3-speed automatic transmission, which allows for a smooth ride as
it shifts seamlessly. The exterior's laser-straight bodylines are
covered in the correct U-code "Tahoe Turquoise" metallic paint this
Mustang left the factory with, and it gleams in the sun after being
buffed to a brilliant shine. The power white convertible top
compliments that turquoise hue wonderfully, complete with all new
rubbers. The deluxe wheel well trim and subsequent shiny chrome
brightwork both help to set this Mustang apart from the rest!
Additionally, the floors, frame, trunk and jambs are all-original
and they're all in great shape. Opening the twin doors reveals a
gorgeously-correct "Light and Medium Aqua Rosette" vinyl interior,
complete with comfy bucket seats and a full center console that're
perfect for cruising. In fact, when we at Coyote Classics took
delivery of this beautiful '66 Convertible, it came with 100% of
its original interior and rubbers. We installed a brand-new
interior with the correct codes due to some fading in the carpet
and a few split seams in the front seat covers, but for
authenticity, this car will come with its original radio and all of
its original interior when sold! Options on this stunning '66
Mustang include power steering, the factory gauges, an updated
vintage-style AM/FM/Aux stereo system, a heater + defroster, a
power convertible top, dual chrome mirrors, vent windows, and a
sweet-sounding single exhaust system. The car rides on a sleek set
of 14" chrome Mustang wheels over blackwall tires for a sporty,
period-correct look! Turn the key and that 289 starts right up,
running and driving down the road effortlessly. There aren't too
many Mustangs out there that're in the sort of shape this one is
in, much less any with the kind of correctness and originality that
this one has. Don't let it pass you by, because this Mustang's
ready to put a smile on your face at the push of the throttle.
