Vehicle Description
1967 Chevrolet Corvette For Sale - Bloomington Gold Benckmark,
15,495 Miles, L36 427ci With A/C LMC is very proud to offer for
sale this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Chevrolet Corvette, C2 for
2nd Generation and also known as the Corvette Stingray, is the
American sports car legend produced for the 1963 to 1967 model
years. The radical exterior styling of this Corvette generation was
very purposeful, with peaked fenders, a long nose, and a short,
bobbed tail. Chevrolet designers actually bragged about the styling
at the time, saying: 'looks most stylists would be too timid to
even suggest'. The 1967 Corvette Stingray was the last Corvette of
the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the
best of the line. Changes were modest for '67. Five smaller front
fender vents replaced the three larger ones, new single backup
light mounted above the license plate. The previous models' wheel
covers gave way to slotted six-inch Rally wheels with chrome beauty
rings and lug nuts concealed behind chrome caps. Interior
alterations included revised upholstery, and the handbrake moved
from beneath the dash to between the seats. The L36 engine package
cost the original buyer an extra $200.15. This is one of only 8,504
Coupes for the production year that put 22,940 Corvettes on the
road so once again the Coupe was the rare model. The base price for
the '67 Coupe was $4353. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette is the
epitome of a collector quality example presented today as an
exceptionally original example that can be used as a reference.
With one owner for 45 years of its life and showing just 15,495
original miles on the odometer, this big block 1967 Corvette has
been kept in exceptional original condition. No surprise, then,
that the extent of its originality is virtually unparalleled in the
world of midyear Corvettes, earning it Bloomington Gold Benchmark
honors. Bloomington Gold introduced the Benchmark Award, to be
awarded to cars that are the standard in quality and originality
that could serve as an accurate resource for restoration of
historical research. Having qualified as such, the candidate must
achieve Bloomington Gold certification and, on the same weekend,
successfully score in all four categories of Survivor judging,
specifically by remaining 50-percent unrestored in the four
categories of exterior, interior, engine/compartment and chassis.
This grueling judging regime singles out those Corvettes that can
honestly claim to be the best examples of their breed, cars that
qualify as the highest quality reference-grade specimens in
existence. Finished in Goodwood Green with a black leather
interior, this Bloomington Gold Benchmark 1967 Corvette boasts a
number matching L36 427/390 HP big-block V-8, complete with CCAS
Cylinder Case Affirmation, numbers matching 4-speed manual
transmission and 3.36:1 Positraction rear end, unique factory speed
warning, factory side exhaust, factory air conditioning, Soft
Ray-tinted glass and AM/FM radio, leather interior - all original
from the factory, including the original wheels and tires and
unused spare, and in a spectacular state of preservation.
Documentation includes a copy of the original 1967 title and the
original tank sticker. Owning a 1967 Corvette L36 Coupe is not just
possessing a car; it's an invitation to be part of automotive
history. With its striking design, powerful performance, and
timeless appeal, this Corvette remains a coveted collector's item
and a symbol of the golden era of American muscle cars. Additional
