Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1977 Ford F100 Custom
flareside truck. This beauty was born in San Jose, California, and
lived most of its life there while accumulating only 43,817 actual
miles. This F100 came out to Ohio in 2020 and shortly after getting
here, it began 3 years of restoration work that totaled more than
we're asking for the truck. The most recent owner did a diligent
job of saving receipts and compiling a binder for the truck that
will be included with it. The truck is dressed in Light Jade paint
- its' original color and quite a bit of it is still the original
paint. The hood, roof, and a few smaller sections received a
respray while other sections like the fenders, doors, and exterior
bed walls have a cool light patina of age and gentle use. Both the
front and back chrome bumpers have a nice shine and the split
rectangular grille is still in very good condition. Adding to the
great overall look of this truck are the white painted steel wheels
with Ford hubcaps wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Radials - a perfect
accent to the Jade body. The windshield has been replaced with new
glass and the rear window has been upgraded to a C.R. Laurence
4-panel slider. Dual steel side mirrors, bright door handles, and
drip rail moldings help to add a little contrast to the body color.
In the rear, you'll find a new black vinyl tonneau cover over the
bed that boasts original wood floorboards. The boards are now
painted body color and are starting to show a little age, though
they are still plenty solid. Beneath the rear bumper is a tow hitch
receiver that leads your eye to the incredibly clean undercarriage
and new gas tank. Under the hood in the immaculately clean engine
bay is what we believe to be the original 302ci V-8. According to
the records, the engine was rebuilt in 2020 - as was the 3-speed
automatic transmission. The V-8 is topped with a 2-barrel
carburetor, a period-correct air cleaner, and blue valve covers.
There are many new parts under the hood including a Champion
radiator, a power steering gearbox, and a power booster with new
brake lines. You'll also notice a working Ford A/C compressor that
has been upgraded with 134A refrigerant - yes, this truck was
originally sold with dealer-installed air and the receipt is in the
binder! The transmission is mated to a Dana rear axle with 2:72
gears for easy freeway cruising. Exhaust travels through cast
manifolds to a single pipe then a new muffler to exit behind the
passenger rear wheel. Open the driver's door to reveal a cab
interior that has received as much attention as the rest of the
truck. The black bench seat has been recovered with a mix of vinyl
and cloth and is quite comfortable. The new door panels are black
and tan and in excellent condition. The dash was repainted while
the windshield was out and a new black vinyl dash pad was
installed. The gauge cluster looks new and features working gauges
for fuel, alt, oil, and temp as well as a speedometer. To the right
of the gauges is an AM/FM Retrosound radio - a nice upgrade for
your cruisin soundtrack. To the left of the glovebox in the center
of the dash is the Frigiking A/C unit that blows out cold air with
a decent fan. Overhead you'll find a working courtesy light, a
black panelboard headliner, and dual visors while underfoot is a
nice new black carpet. In the rear cab corners are new seatbelt
retractors with new black belts. Behind the seat are 2 6X9 speakers
mounted in custom boxes that sound great with the new stereo. Even
as thorough as this description has been, it's by no means a
comprehensive list of all the upgrades and work done to this F100 -
the improvements are quite extensive and well-documented in the
binder. This old California truck really checks all the boxes -
beautiful color, low actual miles, cold A/C, power steering, power
brakes, great-sounding stereo, and so much more! Give us a call
today and be the lucky one who takes this awesome truck home!
