Vehicle Description
STK 3636 1969 Chevrolet Camaro
When introduced in 1967, few at Chevrolet imagined that the Gen1
Camaro would eventually become a GM icon like the tri-five Bel-Airs
from a decade earlier. Chevy was simply trying to join the
promising pony-car market. It was an instant success story, one
that continues to this day. The current version of the Chevrolet
Camaro shadows that same Gen1 legend - a very wise GM marketing
decision. This restored '69 Camaro SS is a solid example of this
enduring classic. The professional 2-stage respray of Lemans Blue
is ideal for this car and accents include SS stripes, RS hide-a-way
headlights (new), cowl induction hood, subtle front air dam/rear
spoiler, simulated rear fender louvers, stainless wheel moldings
and bright accented taillights. Chevy rally wheels mount 15"
BFGoodrich Radial T/A performance radials. A restored blue vinyl
interior features a full console w/gauge package, factory in-dash
tachometer, SS tilt wheel and Kenwood AM/FM/CD sound system. New
sound deadening and carpets have also installed,
Horsepower comes from a blueprinted 383ci small-block, nicely
dressed and housed in a spotless engine compartment. It is fitted
with aluminum intake, new dual feed Holley carburetor, performance
cam and tube headers. Torque is delivered from a Muncie M-20
4-speed (non-rock crusher) with new clutch/flywheel to a 12-bolt
posi-traction differential w/3.55:1 gears. A Hurst Comp+ shifter
was installed to replace the factory Muncie shifter. A spotless,
blasted chassis features power steering, power disc/drum brakes,
new exhaust, new fuel tank and many, many new suspension components
including all brake workings and rear air-shocks. This Camaro SS is
equally satisfied hosting a downtown parade on Saturday morning, or
testing the theory of acceleration on Saturday night - it is Bowtie
history. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
