This 1966 Chevy K10 Short Box pickup is a really cool and great
looking truck!! This truck was restored 7-8 years ago and still
looks great. This truck was restored in Pennsylvania and has an
assigned Vin when it went through the inspection process because he
lost the Vin Tag during the restoration. The short box 4x4 trucks
are really cool and really rare. The body is super clean and
straight on this truck. It was repainted in the era correct colors
of Light Blue and White and the paint looks really nice. This truck
has all of the deluxe side moldings that are still in great
condition. It has all new body bushings and mounts when restored.
The chrome and stainless appears to be original and is in really
nice shape. When it was restored they redid the bed with oak. The
underside of this truck is really nice and clean and we found no
rust issues with this truck.
The interior is excellent and it was also repainted when the truck
was restored. It was painted as it would have come from the factory
in Medium Fawn. When restored it had a new floor mat and the seat
reupholstered. The door panels were repainted when they did inside
the cab. The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals
are all working. The gauges all work. The heat, horn, and
windshield wipers work. It is just a nicely restored original style
interior.
Mechanically this truck is great!! It starts easy and runs and
drives wonderful. The engine is a 283 V8 that runs strong and
smooth with no issues or red flags that we found. It has a rebuilt
Rochester 2 Barrel Carb, dual exhaust, and recently had a new
alternator installed. The transmission is the sm420 4 Speed manual
that shifts nice with a good clutch. It has the Rockwell T221
transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. Both axles were
upgraded on this truck. The rear axle is a 12 Bolt with 3.73 gears
and the front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.73 gears. The truck was
upgraded with power front disc brakes and power steering. It really
does drive nice!! This is all sitting on a nice set of Rallye
Wheels with newer 31 inch All terrain Tires.
