Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you today this 2000 Pontiac
Trans Am. This beautiful Pewter Metallic Pontiac comes to us today
with quite a few tasteful upgrades, only 3 owners, and just 78K
actual miles on the odometer! The paint still looks great after 23
years and is what we'd call high driver quality. You'll notice
right away that a ram air hood has been added to the car and
although it's non-functional, it looks exceptionally cool. The hood
is only part of the great looks up front - there are retracting
quad halogen headlights, circular fog lamps, lower fender air
vents, and a front license plate pocket with a Firebird logo.
Moving around to the side of the car, the dark tinted windows and
T-tops are definitely eye-catching, as are the 18" black Helo
wheels wrapped in newer Michelin Super Sport tires. At the rear of
the car is a large body-color sports wing, a power antenna, a
honeycomb rear light panel with circular reverse lights, and quad
chrome Borla exhaust tips. Under the hood is a very clean and stock
engine bay that is home to a 5.7 liter LS1 V-8 that's mated to a
6-speed T-56 manual transmission with 3:42 rear gears. A skip-shift
eliminator has been added that disables the shifter from forcing
you from 1st to 4th. You'll also notice under the hood a KN air
filter and an SLP-style air filter intake have been added. This
hearty V-8 sounds simply awesome through the Borla 3" cat-back
exhaust with a DMH electric cutout that allows you to adjust the
exhaust sound with a switch mounted underneath the center console
ashtray door. Stopping power for this Trans Am comes from power
4-wheel disc brakes with red calipers and an ABS system. Upgrades
continue in the suspension department with Koni STR.T shocks,
Strano SP141 springs, BMR control arms with adjustable panhard bar,
UMI adjustable brackets, and newer front rear sway bar bushings and
bump stops. Open the driver's door to reveal a spectacular black
interior with power-adjustable black perforated leather bucket
seats. The seats are in very good condition with only light wear on
the driver's bolster. The rear seating for two is comprised of a
bench back with bucket bottoms, due to the tunnel height. The
driver door features controls for power windows, doors, and locks
and is also home to some great-sounding speakers. Ahead of the
driver is a leather-wrapped steering wheel with stereo controls and
an airbag on a tilt column. Also on the column are controls for the
cruise control and intermittent wipers. The crack-free dash is home
to a well-laid out gauge cluster that includes working temp, oil,
batt, and fuel gauges as well as a tach and speedometer. The
climate control system works just as it should with cold A/C, hot
heat, a strong fan, and rear defrost. The stereo system has been
upgraded with a Sony XAV-AX150 double din receiver with Apple
Carplay, Android Auto, and a backup camera. This new unit is
integrated with the steering wheel controls for easy use. Upgraded
speakers include Polk Audio Momo components and 6X9 as well as a
10" Infinity Kappa Perfect Sub in a hide-away form-fitting box in
the left rear trunk powered by a Kicker 400W amp. There is an amp
power switch next to the exhaust cut-out switch in the center
console ashtray. The center console is also home to an upgraded
leather-wrapped SLP Hurst shift knob with an MGW short-throw
shifter - a perfect combo with the T-56 transmission. Also between
the seats is an armrest/storage box and cup holder. The passenger
side of the dash has an airbag and a glovebox that contains the
original owner's manual and a remote for the stereo. Back in the
hatchback, you'll find factory slots to hold the T-tops and a set
of carpeted floormats to keep the floors looking nice. If you're
looking for a fourth-gen Trans Am specifically or just a really
cool sports car that won't break the bank, then you're going to
want to take a hard look at this awesome ride! You'll be
hard-pressed to find a Trans Am that will give you more bang for
the buck!
