Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1970 Volkswagen Split WIndow
Transporter Kombi Bus 15 Window. Manufactured in Brazil. The Kombi,
from German: Kombinationskraftwagen (combination motor vehicle),
has side windows and removable rear seats making it both a
passenger and a cargo vehicle combined. Company mascot van for many
years in overall good condition. Originally red and repainted in
orange about 10+ years ago. Still in very good overall condition
with minor imperfections as shown. Gray vinyl interior in good
condition with no rips or tears in the upholstery although it could
use a good cleaning and cosmetic refresh. Opening the rear engine
bay, you'll find the 1600CC 1 Carb engine coupled which has been
rebuilt at some point and is coupled with the 4 speed manual
transmission. Solid undercarriage with some typical surface rust
present. Floors appear to be very solid. This Type 2 van was one of
the forerunners of the modern cargo and passenger vans era and
seats 8 passengers. Passenger side double doors and fold down
middle seat for access to the 3rd row. Original Metal cargo roof
rack in great condition. Van starts runs and drives very well and
and with a little TLC has great potential for many uses by the VW
van enthusiast. Comes with VW service manuals and full brand new
spare tire on painted factory wheel. Stored in MA with clean title
