Vehicle Description
1932 Ford Coupe - This hot rod project started in September of 2020
and was finished in the spring of 2023. At this point it has about
100 break-in miles and everything is working fine. The car was
built by Magic Custom of Cleveland, Ohio. The Curtis brothers have
had the body shop for 40 years and built and raced their own cars
for that same amount of time. They've been painting for me for over
20 years and done 3 car projects (1 build, 2 restorations) for me
previously. BODY Wescott Auto fiberglass body purchased by previous
owner in the early 1990's I purchased the body (and title) in
September of 2020. Body is an unchopped, exposed door hinge, cowl
vent version with original style door and trunk lid handles. Body
was completely restored and painted in a base coat/clear finish.
Seats are from a 2007 Prius, covered in custom leather slip-on
covers (headrest was deleted). Seat belts (lap and shoulder) are
from the same Prius, fitted with new belt material and installed in
the car. Vintage Air "trunk mount" heat/vent/AC which supplies air
through a panel behind the seats. This is MUCH CLEANER than the
normal "below dash) installation. Correct 3 window dash fitted with
new gauges. Main wiring panel located in the trunk. Power windows
(operating from original window crank lever) CHASSIS Brand new,
complete chassis purchased from Brookville Roadster in November,
2020. Straight axle front/buggy spring in the front, 4-bar with
adjustable coil overs in the back. Disc (manual) front brakes and
drum/e-brake in the back. Hydraulic clutch pedal setup located
below the driver's side floor. DRIVETRAIN Ford 302 engine built by
Shade Racing Engines (Belleville, OH). Approximately 350 HP. Ford
T-5, 5 speed manual transmission (from a Mustang) fitted with Chevy
S-10 tail housing (to move the shift lever forward) Brand new
driveshaft. Brand new Ford 9 inch rear end.
