EXAMPLE OF PONTIAC'S "GREAT ONE" Returning for 1967, Pontiac's
wildly successful Le Mans-based GTO featured select styling updates
and numerous functional upgrades. It also continued for the second
model year as a unique Pontiac series. Engines were upsized for '67
to 400 CI with a 335-HP unit standard and 255-HP "economy" unit
optional, plus the 360-HP 400 HO (High Output) A choice of
close-ratio 4-speed manual or Turbo-Hydramatic automatic
transmissions was available, with a heavy duty Safe-T-Track rear
end delivering the power to the road. A fully integrated
high-performance car with class, image, and the substance
underneath to back it all up, the GTO sparked competitors from
virtually all American makes, yet outsold them all once again for
1967. Documented by PHS Automotive Services, this stunning 1967
Pontiac GTO convertible retains the matching numbers engine and
transmission and benefits from a show-quality restoration to the
factory original colors of Regimental Red with a Black power
convertible top and matching interior. Power is provided by
Pontiac's 400 CI V-8 engine mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic 400
three-speed automatic transmission controlled by a Hurst Dual/Gate
shifter mounting a walnut shift knob. Features and options are
many, including air conditioning, power steering, power front
disc/rear drum brakes, power windows, Rallye gauges, a remote
mirror, and floor mats. Pontiac's handsome and correct Rally I
wheels mount BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Upon closer inspection,
