Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to represent this
stunning 1972 Datsun 240Z! The Nissan S30, sold in Japan as the
Nissan Fairlady Z and in other markets as the Datsun 240Z, then
later as the 260Z and 280Z, is the first generation of Z GT 3-door
two-seat coups, produced by Nissan Motors, Ltd. of Japan from 1969
until 1978. The 1970 240Z was introduced to the American market by
Yutaka Katayama, president of Nissan Motors USA operations, widely
known as "Mister K". The early cars from 1969 to mid-1971 had some
subtle differences compared to late-71 to 1973 cars. This
particular 1972 example is finished in color code 918 Orange over a
Black vinyl upholstered interior. Under the hood is the well-known
and loved L24 2.4 Liter Inline 6-Cylinder engine backed by a
5-Speed Manual Transmission out of a 280Z. This strikingly stock
240Z commands attention from those that see it and inspire memories
from those who have owned one! If you are in the market for one of
the most iconic Datsun 2-doors in a great 70s color, this is the
one! To see more HD pictures and videos please visit
