COSMETIC
- Paint/Body: Custom cap GMC with all the chrome! Older paint job is fading but brings a cool patina look to this gem! If you wanted though, the paint could potentially be buffed out to shine up a good bit. The body is in exceptional original condition with minimal work needed if you wanted to even repaint. Original bumpers and grill are in good shape with some expected fading and rust. Some minimal rust in the door hinge pockets and the step sides. The doors are solid with only a little rust underneath. Under the hood, the firewall and inner fender wells are rust free.
- Interior: Interior of this truck has never been redone according to the previous owner. It is in fantastic shape. Bench seat is original including the cover.
- Glass/Windows: Windows roll up and down easily. All the glass is in good condition
- Trunk/Bed: She still has the old original wood bed. We decided to leave it as is but could easily be cleaned up by sanding and restaining the wood.
- Undercarriage: The underneath is in great shape. With no undercoating, there are some areas that commonly rust. Floor pans are incredible. Cab corners original and very solid, one small repair in the driver side. Some minimal rust throughout but nothing serious. Rear fenders look great with only a minimal bit of work done in the past. No rust under the bed. Frame is in fantastic shape. Its quite impressive for being all original as far as we know!
- Wheels/Tires: Tires are like new with great tread, Nice looking wheels as well!
MECHANICAL
- Drivetrain: She was upgraded from 6 cylinder to 327 V8 with the shifter conversion from the column to the floor. Engine purrs beautifully and the manual transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Drives straight down the road with almost no play in the steering wheel. Very clean under the hood. Exhaust was redone at some point and sounds great!
- Lights/Electrical: Headlights, taillights, turn signals and brake lights are all working. All gauges are functional. The heater is also hooked up and working.
- Brakes: Manual brakes stop straight and strong. Even the emergency brake is hooked up and functional!
