Vehicle Description
Price slashed by $4k! Picking a favorite year of classic Corvette
is highly subjective, and enthusiasts justifiably like different
years for different reasons. One model year that certainly deserves
to be considered among the best is the 1969 Corvette. It stands
apart not only from other Corvettes but from classic cars in
general. In 1969, Chevrolet built 38,762 Corvettes, proof that the
new body style, introduced in 1968, was accepted. For 1969 Stingray
now became one word and was badged on the front fenders. Zora
Arkus-Duntov had addressed the numerous body and fitment problems
plaguing the 1968 model and made more than 200 production line
changes. Experts say the later in the 1969 Corvette production
year, the better the car (this one was built in March 1969). The
N14 Side Mounted Exhaust package, which was available during the C3
generation as a factory-installed model year 1969 only; this car is
one of 11% came from the factory with it.1969 was the first year
for the SBC (small block Chevy V-8 350ci) of which there were two:
the base 300hp version and a more spirited L46 350hp (33% of
production). When you want more power under the hood and to
surprise your friends on a track day, the L46 is the one to get.

see here is a 1969 model that went through a restoration process,
including an engine rebuild. This is a matching numbers
engine/transmission Corvette. Almost two decades ago, it was
restored, and driven occasionally since (always garaged). The
Daytona Yellow color still shines on the beautiful bodywork. To our
knowledge this is a 3-owner Corvette. It was acquired by the latest
owner from a Dallas dealer six years ago and has been driven less
than 350 miles since. A speed shop recently performed the following

gauges and the clock are fully functional; the water pump and gas
tank are both new. Also new: front springs, rear trailing arms and
bushings, and rear wheel bearings. The car has been lowered 1 inch.
OEM parts that come with the car: Corvette steering wheel, intake
manifold, and carburetor. This car needs nothing except for
replacement of T-Top headliners (sagging), and the pop-up
headlights vacuum relay (they operate, but slowly). The car has
very few paint imperfections, which are shown at the end of the
photos. We offer this rare iconic T-top beauty for $29,900. The car
is garaged in Fairfield, California; if you want to see it or have
the car inspected, we need warning well in advance. From airports
in Sacramento, Oakland, and San Francisco the drive is 45, 50, and
55 minutes respectively to the car. A sale will be between two
private parties (unless a lender requires purchase from a dealer).
We have an excellent transportation resource if needed. Note:
Decades ago, we restored a 1967 Corvette 327/350 4-speed
convertible after a long search that included 427s. The lightest,
best-driving car was the one we bought - and power steering was a
must add, as without it the car steered like a truck. Engine: L46
