Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this beautiful low-mile
1963 Pontiac Catalina! This Pontiac was born in Kansas City and was
originally sold in Colorado before spending parts of its life in
Las Vegas, Minnesota, and Ohio. When it left the plant it looked
quite different than it does today - with Silver Leaf Green on the
lower body, Yuma Beige on the upper body, and a Fawn vinyl and
cloth interior. This Catalina now wears a very slick coat of white
paint (that we believe was applied in 2013 based on receipts) in
high driver level condition. There is abundant chrome and
brightwork that looks brilliant with the glossy white paint. The
split front grill gleams in the light, as do the stacked headlights
that flank it. A Pontiac shield shines in the middle above a bright
bumper. The great trim work continues onto the sides of the car
with body-side molding, a bright rocker cover, dual chrome side
mirrors, upper body-line molding on the rear quarters, and bright
window trim. There are fresh-looking Catalina and 421 badges on the
front fenders. Around the back are a set of really cool wrap-around
tail lights with bright trim, a nice rear bumper with integrated
reverse lights, and chrome exhaust tips. This whole package sits
proudly atop some great looking aftermarket Pontiac rally wheels
wrapped in Yokohama ENVigor tires. Under the hood is a very clean
and organized engine bay that houses a 428ci WJ code engine from a
67/68 HO Grand Prix. The block is dressed in Pontiac blue and
topped with chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock
4-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air filter with a 421-HO sticker.
Other highlights under the hood include newer-looking power
steering and water pumps, power brakes with a newer dual reservoir,
cast exhaust manifolds leading to newer exhaust, and newer-looking
belts, hoses, and lines. The big block is mated to a TH400
automatic transmission and a 9" Ford rear with 3:00 positraction
gears - a great combination! When you open the driver's door you
see right away that the interior was done to the same high
standards as the exterior and engine bay. The door panels are done
in white and dark brown with period-correct handles, cranks, and
armrests and they are in excellent condition. The bench seats have
been recovered in white vinyl with brown piping and embroidered
Pontiac emblems on the backs - and they look spectacular! The
floors are covered in brown hook-and-loop carpet and the white
vinyl headliner is clean and tight. The stylish dash is painted
brown with a brown vinyl pad on top and is in great condition. The
dash styling is awesome - they just don't make them like this
anymore! The clock on the dash still works, as do the heater and
fan controls. An aftermarket Autometer tachometer is mounted to the
left of the speedometer and Autometer gauges for temp, oil press.,
and battery are located under the dash to the driver's left. The
original AM radio is still present but is unfortunately
inoperative. Ahead of the driver is a 3-spoke wood steering wheel
with the Pontiac logo center cap and working horn. Ahead of the
passenger is a glovebox with an original owner's manual. The
odometer shows only 53,487 miles and that is the actual mileage per
the title - very cool! In the rear is an exceptionally clean
splatter-painted trunk with a full spare on a matching wheel, a set
of brown carpeted logo floormats, and a folder of receipts dating
back to 1986. A 2-door Catalina is a rare find these days,
especially in this condition, and it has a serious cool factor that
draws attention wherever it goes. This Pontiac checks a ton of
boxes - slick paint, bright trim, big block, power steering,
4-wheel power disc brakes, and a stunning interior! Give us a call
today and be the lucky one who gets to put it in their garage!
