The third generation of Corvettes lasted from 1968 until 1982.
Thanks to a delay in C4 production, there were actually no 1983
Corvettes made, so if anyone tries to sell you one, keep looking.
But with so many C3s running around, it takes a special kind of car
to stand out amongst its peers truly, and this 1979 Corvette is as
special as it gets.
The custom Stinger hood, which harks back to the big block hoods of
the C2, along with the front and rear D80 spoiler kit, gives this
car a presence from any angle. Under that awesome hood sits a
numbers-matching 5.7-liter small block 350 V-8. That motor breathes
in through an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and four-barrel
carb, exhales through a set of long tube Hooker headers, and
ultimately out through an incredible-looking set of side pipes to
create a ferocious growl, unlike any stock Corvette on the
planet.
That power gets sent through a tried-and-true T10 four-speed manual
transmission onto a Corvette rear end where big 275/40ZR-18 tires
wait to grab as much of the tarmac as possible, while 245/45ZR-18s
handle steering duties up front. Polished 18-inch Rev wheels match
the beautifully repainted Silver Metallic exterior to give this
'Vette some fine-tuned attitude.

Open up the fiberglass doors, and you'll be greeted by a sea of
sensuous red leather adorning all corners of the cabin. Two big
analog gauges sit front and center of the driver, including a 7,000
rpm tach and 140 mph speedometer that shows just 7,100 miles on the
odometer. Pop the T-tops off and let the open air run through your
hair while the rumble of those big side pipes growl and snarl just
outside your doors. It takes a lot to stand out in the world of C3
Corvettes, but this 1979 example is special enough to be the center
of attention anywhere it goes. Call now!
