Mechanical A hot setup in 1962 was the 390 cubic inch V-8 engine
with a four- barrel carb as ours has. It looks factory correct with
the blue painted block, heads, valve covers, and factory correct
air cleaner assembly. It also has Power steering, Power brakes, and
even the red FoMoCo windshield washer bag, with all sitting in a
very nice, clean and detailed engine compartment. It has all the
correct plumbing, hoses, wires, and engine parts and looks as nice
as it sounds. It is shifted by a 3-speed automatic transmission
that handles the big block's horsepower and out the H.D. rear end.
Interior Our Ford has had a full restored two-tone red and white
interior including in factory fashion the front twin bucket seats
with the factory console in between holding the shifter, matching
rear seat, door panels, factory red steering wheel, and red dash
with all the correct gauges, red carpeting and floormats, and
pushbutton radio. Exterior This Galaxie has a restored paint job in
white with the red side trim, chrome bumpers with the black and
chrome grill make for a great appearance and the car's low stance
and black sidewall tires on the custom aftermarket 17-inch Foose
wheels that give it a great stance. All body panels line up and
doors are straight and true and this car rides great with plenty of
pep to match the engines great growl. The white power convertible
top sets it all off and gives you the option of top-down cruising
pleasure too. Conclusion This 1962 Ford Galaxie that we have for
sale here at Skyway Classics has been restored right, carries a
great Ford muscle car heritage with its 390 engine, has great
colors and a power convertible top, and is a fantastic driver that
won't disappoint you. So give us a call at 941-254-6608. Disclaimer
