Vehicle Description
Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's
Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window
Looking for a Split to take to NCRS judging? STOP READING. Looking
for what may be the most reasonably priced driver plus quality
Split in the market.... READ ON.
Just offered to us out of long-term ownership is this sharp 63
Split Window, yes, the rare, coveted split, that everyone seems to
be chasing today. Finished from the factory in the very desirable
Sebring Silver (code 941) over factory correct red (code 490). Now
finished in a beautiful white over correct red this vette was
restored a long time ago and is holding up beautifully. This Split
can certainly be enjoyed as is, or for those of you so inclined
folks out there, this is a great start on that 500K Barrett Jackson
Restomod!
The 327 currently onboard does not have a vin stamping on it but
the engine pad does carry an HA code. The casting number is 3782870
indicative of a 327 Corvette engine. The strong running 327 is
backed by what feels like a great shifting, perhaps close ratio, 4
speed. This car is a very strong performer with just the right
exhaust note out of the side pipes.
When this car was restored, a lot was done very well- check out the
pictures of the underside, completely done. Check out the pictures
of the engine compartment, completely done. There was a lot of
money invested in this split to get it to a nice level. The paint
is very presentable with the occasional blemish or imperfection
present. The interior is quite sharp and presentable with a slight
custom touch in the tufted headliner... We installed new knock off
look wheels and redline tires that we think complete this terrific
look...want to save a couple of bucks... we have a set of rally
wheels that came off the car with tires that we will reinstall and
save you 2500.00!
The front end has a custom nose that the owner preferred, it's been
installed about 25 percent of the way into the front fenders and is
a nice job. The custom grill has two headlights behind it and is a
good look. (No comment here as to what states those are "legal"
in...) Yes, it's not factory, nor are the side pipes which were not
available in 63- remember what we said up top about the NCRS?
If you want a great split to drive, this may well be your car. If
you want to impress your numbers matching Corvette Expert Buddies,
were gonna save you the heartburn. This is a beautiful older
restored "Custom" vette that is exactly what it presents itself to
me. When the car was restored the door jambs were not finished out
perfectly, as seen in the pictures, and we do not have first-hand
knowledge of the bird cage. As already stated, if you are looking
for perfect this is not your car and better flex the budget a long
way from our pricing for one that is.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized
possession, turn it into another "correct split".....the choice is
yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel
expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially
misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel
expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold
our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet.... We pride
ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
