Vehicle Description
The 1951 Mercury Monterey is an all-time favorite among classic car
enthusiasts, hot rodders, and customizers, and we're proud to offer
this excellent example from the MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom.
Powered by the legendary 225ci Flathead V8 with that silky smooth
idle these engines are famous for, it has a dual exhaust system for
a little vintage vibe. The Flathead is teamed with a 3-speed manual
transmission. This one has the optional overdrive, which adds
performance, economy, and quietness. There is evidence throughout
that the car was well cared for. There is an electric fuel pump to
aid performance, particularly in extreme weather conditions, and a
pressure regulator and pressure gauge appears under the hood. A
large aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool. Inside, a set of
Bosch auxiliary gauges keeps track of the vitals. There's a touch
of modern too, as the gray paint has a little bit of metallic to it
and the gray cloth interior is right in tune with modern tastes.
But that's what a classic can do. The car comes with not only an
original Owner's Manual, but also a comprehensive Overhaul Set &
Shop Manual. Please be sure to see the detailed photos at
