Vehicle Description
1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 Convertible Why This Car Is Special If
you want a €one-of-a-kind Corvette, one that no-one else has or
can ever have, then we have a 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 454 cubic
inch Corvette here at Skyway Classics that you must have for your
collection. This LS5 Corvette has been the subject of many magazine
articles including Corvette Fever, Super Chevy, and more, and was
included in Jerry Heasley€s €Corvette Masterpieces€ hardcover
book too. It has quite a story behind this special Corvette as it
is the only one in the world that Elfie Duntov picked to honor her
husband, Zora, at the 1997 National Corvette Museum Show in Bowling
Green, Ky. The Corvette was presented with the Duntov Award at the
awards ceremony signed by Elfie Duntov, Tommy Morrison, Jim
Minnick, Reeves Callaway, John Cafaro, and Dave McClellan. The
National Corvette Museum asked to have the Corvette displayed in
the museum and it was for a year in 1997-1998. It has been owned by
a number of Corvette Collectors through the years and has recently
gone a frame off restoration to NCRS specs with every nut and bolt
correct and is probably one of if not the finest 1971 Corvettes on
the planet. Features 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 Convertible
