SS Convertible 283 V-8 Turbo-Fire 195-hp! This is a frame off build
with under 1000 miles! This absolutely gorgeous, all
numbers-matching Malibu is show ready. The flawless white paint is
keeping to the configuration as it left the factory.
The 1965 Convertible Malibu SS is distinguished by subtle yet
attractive rocker panels and wheel opening trim, circled SS badges
on the tail panel and quarter panels, and bisected by a horizontal
strip of bright trim; this is complemented with a trimmed tail
panel. The V-8 283ci with 195-hp can be identified by exterior
famed cross-flag emblem with the 283 above. The 283 features a 3.87
x 3.00 inch bore and stroke, with two-bolt main journal caps
retaining the crankshaft. The SS is offered with a two-speed
Powerglide automatic and the 10-bolt differential with 8.125-inch
ring gear.
The SS interior is factory correct from front to back. The interior
is code 741 a two-tune blue Madrid grain vinly with sport bucket
seats with a center console and automatic transmission shifter. The
gauge cluster has a 120-MPH speedometer, clock, fuel level,
amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. Also has original
sport two-spoke steering wheel. The white manual convertible top is
new as is all the frame and bows. Works very smooth.
The frame has been powder coated black. Being a convertible
anti-twist rigidity, or to say the primary side rails were fully
boxed. The ride is thanks to coil-sprung suspension system front
and rear. The power steering makes driving a dream. The floor
panels being a frame off build are painted white. You can lay
mirrors underneath this car to show off! The '65 starts, idles,
runs, drives & performs flawlessly. The stunning '65 is as close to
new as your ever going to get! An American classic that is a
