Lightning Pickup! The Ford SVT Lightning is a sports/performance
version of the F-150, developed by the SVT (Special Vehicle Team)
division of Ford. It puts out 380 horsepower! This one family owned
truck is in "like new" condition with only 11,923 actual miles.
After Mr. Hitchcock passed away it was passed on to his 60+ year
old son. It has a clean Autocheck report with a score of 77!
This example was made in Ford's Oakville, Ontario, Canada truck
factory in January 2004 and delivered to Bo Beuckman Ford in
Ballwin, Missouri, a St. Louis suburb. This is the 1,639th example
of the total 3,781 examples made in 2004. It left the assembly line
with the following options - overhead console and tonneau
cover.
Dressed in Bright Red, the truck's paint and trim is in overall
excellent condition. The bodywork is straight and solid, the engine
bay is extremely tidy and the body-colored bumpers fit tightly to
the body. The 6.5-foot flareside cargo bed has its own factory,
body-colored tonneau cover and its own dual cargo lights. The truck
has a unique front fascia with integrated, round fog lamps; unique
upper and lower grilles; unique front lower air deflectors; unique
cab rocker and lower box moldings. There is also a sliding rear
window.
This truck rolls on Goodyear radials, size 295/45ZR18. Each one is
mounted to a factory SVT alloy wheel. The wheels and tires are all
in very good shape. This truck features heavy-duty gas front and
rear shock absorbers, rides a 120-inch wheelbase, 25-gallon fuel
tank and has a 6,100 GVWR. The engine compartment, suspension and
underbody were professionally dry ice cleaned and presents in "like
new" condition.
Under the hood is a Triton 5.4L SOHC supercharged and intercooled
V-8 engine with an Eaton M112 Supercharger. It also has an engine
oil cooler and a super cooling system. The engine has unique tuned
dual exhaust that exit under the bodysides. Besides the
aforementioned 380 horsepower, the engine makes 450 pounds-feet of
torque. Backing up this motor is a modified 4R100 four-speed
automatic transmission with overdrive lockout and an Eaton Detroit
Locker Rear Differential and 3.73:1 gearing. There is also an
auxiliary transmission fluid cooler and a heavy-duty battery.
Driver convenience features are lengthy - air-conditioning, power
steering with power steering cooler, power four-wheel disc brakes,
power windows, cruise control, remote keyless entry, six-way power
driver's seat, tilt steering column, power sideview mirrors and
more.
Safety equipment includes driver and passenger front airbags,
four-wheel anti-lock brakes, a passive anti-theft system and fog
lights.
Inside, the truck features a Medium Graphite cloth and leather
interior. The 60/40 split seat and center console look great, as
does the gray carpet and headliner. The four-spoke steering wheel
looks fine, as do the instrument panel and inner door panels. The
dash gauges come with unique white-faced instrumentation; 140 mph
speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, temperature, fuel,
supercharger boost gauges. A column-mounted shift lever and a
factory AM/FM stereo with a CD player round out the interior.
Documentation includes original owner's manual, original SVT
certificate dated January 26, 2004, original window sticker,
original warranty guide and original tire adjustment policy.
