For Sale: 1970 Dodge Super Bee in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Real Deal! #s match motor and colors, factory N96 Ramcharger. Visually inspected by Mopar Guru, Galen Govier, and his report is included. He entered this car into the registry. This stunning 1970 Super Bee was beautifully restored and looks just as good as the day it was finished! 1 of only 385 built with a 383 automatic in a coupe. Modern air conditioning was neatly installed to make this already great car even better!

EXTERIOR: It doesn't get louder than this color! The body is straight and fits precisely, no rust or damage. It still retains its dual scoop ram air hood and working fender turn signals. This Bee was ordered new in the High Impact Sublime color and repainted with a better than new finish. The bumble bee stripe was applied as well as a new vinyl top. The trim looks new or restored including the grill and tail panel. The front and rear chrome bumpers shine nicely. The 15" rally wheels are restored and are wearing Goodyears. This car truly looks just as good as the day it was finished and was rarely driven.

INTERIOR: The interior is very well put together. Fitted with the Rallye instrument panel which includes woodgrain trim, a clock and a full set of gauges including a tachometer and a 150 mph speedo! The heater controls were updated with electric slides. It has an original Am-Fm radio in place. Other great features are the bucket seats with a console and floor shifter. It is in fantastic shape from the carpet to the headliner. All the interior lights work including the glove box light!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Finished to show quality! There are plenty of great things lurking under this hood. For starters it has its original vin # matching 383 Magnum making 335 hp, original to this car, verified by Galen. On top is the N96 Ramcharger system that forces fresh air into the motor. It also has power steering and brakes. A Classic Auto Air system was added, thank you to whomever did that! All the components look clean and proper. The squirters are hooked up, the battery is properly secured, horns are working etc. The inner fenders and engine bay were all painted glossy. The hidden Vin is on the core support and the fender tag is still attached.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk is bee-utiful! It is all clean metal painted a glossy Sublime. New weatherstrip and mat. Restored jack and spare assembly. The wiring, latches, tail light housings are all clean. The trunk light even works.

UNDERSIDE: Restored from the ground up, the undercarriage is fantastic! The front suspension and steering were rebuilt/replaced and painted black. The rear suspension looks like it was apart and restored, shocks replaced. The exhaust is upgraded with some great sounding Flowmaster mufflers but have stock chrome tips. The brakes were redone, parking brake cables are hooked up and functional. Fuel tank was replaced. Looking up at the motor it's painted a nice gloss Hemi orange, everything looks fresh and dry. The trans is a period correct 727 Torqueflite. It has a correct 8 3/4 rear end. The floors and frame were cleaned, prepped and resprayed with a rubberized coating which gave the undercarriage a very dry appearance.

SERVICE: We inspected this car through our on-site shop. The air conditioning was recharged, driver window regulator replaced, and door locks replaced.

This killer Bee came from down south in Alabama. It was brought to our attention by a serious Mopar collector who said the car was excellent. It's got the right options, look, and visually verified by the Mopar Guru himself!
