Vehicle Description
1937 Ford 5 Window Coupe - 50's Nostalgic Street Rod Custom was the
last car built by my Dad and me. My Dad painted and hand stripped
flames and script designs totally freehand. The Car is PPG Viper
Yellow and NO the flames are not black, they are PPG Mysterious
Metallic Green and outlined by hand in Virtual Lime. Both paints
are affected in appearance by the light that is on them, the flames
from a distance appear black but as you approach they transform to
that Metallic Green. This car shows well and has won a lot of
cruise shows and nostalgic street rod shows, she gets attention
everywhere she goes and draws a crowd to look at her. She is
powered by a ZZ 4 350 Corvette engine that was built up 425+ hp by
Bill Mason from Bel Air MD, one of the best GM engine builders
ever, he built drag, stock car and truck and tractor pull engines
and is well known all over the USA. She has a Vintage Heat and Air
system, Heidts 86-88 Mustang Fronts w/ power rack and pinion, a
built Lockar 700R4 Tranny hooked to a big Ford 9' rear geared 373
plus heidts rear leafs. For cruising pleasure she has a Kenwood
Media Stereo with a Kenwood 600 watt amp in the trunk, great sounds
at a cruise in. The Interior is black with black carpeting, the
dash is yellow, has tilt steering and column shift, dash lights
LED's, all windows are tinted smoke grey, the cowl vent and
windshield roll out is functional. This car is not for the faint of
heart. She has extremely fast response, is very powerful and very
fast, she handles great but this car is not one for a driver
without good car handling experience. at 425 hp in a 2150 lb car
that is 5.6 horsepower per pound, that is a serious power to weight
ratio. She rides very well and very comfortably cruising and she
gets incredible fuel mileage. This car goes to cruises, shows and
special car events and is cleaned after each venture and in a
climate control environment. She has 3800 miles on her since built.
