Vehicle Description
This model-year GMC Sierra Classic 1500 is part of the
third-generation "Square Body," GM produced for 18 years. These C/K
chassis were also used in the GMC Jimmy and several other GM
commercial trucks through 1991. Due to the fuel shortages
experienced at the time, GM manufacturers reduced the curb weight
by nearly 300 pounds to improve fuel economy. This GMC has matching
numbers: a fuel-injected 5.7L V8 engine and a 4-speed automatic
transmission. Most of this truck is original, including factory
air-conditioning, upgraded to R134a, and the original jack is still
mounted under the hood. This 1987 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 offers a
striking red and tan two-tone exterior with bright chrome bumpers.
The red color scheme is consistent inside, with a brick red
interior on the dash, door panels, and seat. All the vinyl accents
have aged well, and Its cloth bench seat provides enough room for a
driver and two passengers. This Classic 1500 can work as well,
coming equipped with a long bed, making it easy to pick up whatever
you need to haul.
