Ground Up Bel Air Restomod Supercharged 6.2L V8 Automatic Air
Conditioning.
The 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is an iconic car from the 1950s and a
classic model in the Chevrolet lineup. It was part of the second
generation of Chevrolet's Bel Air series, which spanned from 1955
to 1957. The 1955 Bel Air is often considered one of the most
stylish and desirable cars of its era and is a symbol of the 1950s
American automotive culture.
This 55 Chevy Bel Air has a great distinctive and stylish design.
It features a sleek and elegant appearance with chrome accents,
prominent body lines and a classic red on red paint scheme.
Sitting in the engine bay is a new GM LSX376-B15 crate engine with
a Whipple 2.9 supercharger on top. Exhaust exists by way of long
tube headers and dual stainless-steel pipes. Gears are operated via
a floor shifter connected to a 4L75 automatic transmission with
overdrive. Outback you will find a Ford 9" rearend.
The LSX376-B15 is durable, and its all-forged rotating assembly
supports up to 15 pounds of boost. The engine is topped off with
high-flow, LSX-LS3 6-bolt rectangular-port heads to create an
affordable foundation for supercharged and turbocharged
combinations.
When it comes to handling, this 55 Tri Five can get it done with
coilover shocks on all four corners, tubular a-arms along with
power rack and pinion steering. Helping to keep this coupe planted
to the pavement are new Nitto premium tires, 235/40R18 front &
275/40R20 rear all mounted on Riddler wheels.
The interior of this 55 is a mix of style and comfort with a
tasteful dashboard, bucket seats, center console and all wrapped in
red leather.
1955 Chevy Bel Air is a highly sought-after classic car, and
well-built customs like this one command a premium in the collector
car market.
