V12 for consideration. The Jag is powered by its legendary V12 all
aluminum engine with high compression head, electronic fuel
injection, electronic ignition, automatic transmission, power
4-wheel disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, and
sure-footed suspension system. The Damson Red exterior over Sand
interior blends very well together. These cars came highly optioned
standard from the factory including: Leather bound steering wheel
with adjustable column, power tinted windows, heated glass in rear
window, power door locks, automatic temp control, cruise control,
trip computer, leather seats and interior trim, heated sports
seats, power adjustable lumbar, burl walnut facia and trim, deep
pile carpet, full instrument with tachometer, 4-way audio speaker
system with Dolby sound and power antenna, spoke alloy wheels,
carpeted rear luggage area with lockable storage, carpeted lighted
trunk, halogen headlamps and fog lights, heated power wing mirrors

From July 1981, the XJ-S was renamed the XJ-S HE and received the
new High-Efficiency V12 engine for much better fuel economy. With
the Fire Ball combustion chamber designed by Swiss Engineer Michael
May, power output was increased as a by-product to 295 hp (220 kW;
299 PS) or 263 hp (196 kW) in North America.10 #fn10 At the same
time, the XJ-S HE received changes to its exterior and interior
(body-colored boot trim in place of the standard previous black,
new five-spoke (starfish) alloy wheels fitted with 215/70R15
Pirelli Cinturato P5, chrome inserts on the upper part of the
bumpers, burled elm inserts on dashboard and door cappings).
