Vehicle Description
The GMC Jimmy was released in 1970 and is based on the K5 Chevrolet
Blazer. The Jimmy and Blazer are built on the K10 pickup truck
platform and offer a shorter wheelbase of 104 inches. Chevrolet's
K5 Blazer and GMC Jimmy were designed to compete with Ford's Bronco
and Jeep's CJ series.
For collectors, the 1972 model of the GMC Jimmy is considered to be
one of the best versions. It is the final year for this generation
GMC Jimmy and is much rarer than its twin, the Blazer. Many people
think of Jeep or Ford when they consider buying a classic
offroader, but GMC perfected the genre with the Jimmy. Drivers get
the same durability and practicality without giving up comfort. It
was one of the first vehicles of its kind to be more practical for
everyday driving.
This amazingly restored Jimmy has a beautiful blue exterior and tan
vinyl interior. While much of the interior seems like you are
stepping into a time capsule, it boasts more modern features like a
Bluetooth radio. Although the Jimmy 4x4 is a hefty steel vehicle,
its 350 V8 and TH350 3-speed automatic transmission provide enough
power not to feel like you're driving a tank through the mud. This
rare find also includes:
Fuel-injected 350 V8
Edelbrock intake manifold
Sniper EFI system
BDS dual steering stabilizer mount kit
Fox stabilizers
Power Steering
Power Brakes
Four-Wheel Drive
Heat/ Defrost
AM/FM Radio
There may be other GMC Jimmy 4x4s on the market, but none like this
one. It is in pristine condition and offers a lot of classic
styling for the money. Let this 350 V8 take you wherever your next
adventure calls you. It's perfect for off-roading or just driving
around town. Call Streetside Classics today to find out how to make
this 1972 GMC Jimmy 4x4 yours!
